Smith has performed structural engineering of residential and commercial buildings, as well as for marine structures and vessels for over 25 years. His experience includes detailed consideration and design from simple structures to highly complex structures. Through the use of finite element design and analysis of various products, parts and assemblies incorporated into the finished product works to achieve an efficient and cost effective solution to all repairs necessary.
DCSPE has evaluated a wide variety of structural conditions and other technical concerns. Our experience includes designs of glulam structures, aluminum docks and marinas, as well as extensive design and repair of roof truss systems.
As part of our commitment to the community that supports us, DCSPE has assisted several churches in evaluations of property and structures, as well as in proposals to renovate these structures to provide more functionality while maintain structural integrity.
Often these projects require the ability to move fluidly from design to forensic engineer in order to provide on-site answers to builders and construction personnel so that construction can continue without delay. We are committed to our clients and to their visions.
